An offline-first travel itinerary app built for travelers who lose signal the moment it matters most.

01 Overview

RoamMate wanted a travel companion app that worked as reliably in a rural mountain pass with no signal as it did on home wifi. We built the entire itinerary and booking experience offline-first from day one.

02 The Challenge

Early prototypes built by another team broke completely without a connection — itineraries wouldn't load, and the app crashed if a booking sync failed mid-trip.

03 The Solution

We rebuilt the data layer around local-first storage with background sync and conflict resolution, so itineraries, maps and bookings are always available, and changes sync automatically once a connection returns.
